We’ve started a new fun tradition over here…Found Fridays!
Let me explain! As we’ve been sharing some of our finds for our new house, we learned that you all have an appreciation for old items too. There’s just something more special about buying an old item with history behind it, rather than just buying a new, mass produced item at a store. So, we’ve decided to do something kinda fun. As we collect items for our house, we’ll be picking up a few extra finds every week and launching a new collection every Friday for our “Found Friday”! The collection could range from anything to brass candlesticks to wicker baskets to antique books. We will only post our absolute favorites!
Here’s how it will work. We’ll post a picture on our Instagram and Facebook of the finds every Friday, and then you can shop the collection at the Fernway Home Shop on Etsy! All items are available for free shipping with porch pickup by using the coupon code “LOCAL”! However, if you aren’t local, you can still join in on the fun and have things shipped to you!
Our tagline for the shop is “Found goods for an inspired home.” We believe that decorating with old items adds so much warmth and character to a home. Old items come with old stories. They may even come with some scratches and scuffs from the past. That’s their beauty. Our hope is that this may be a fun way for you to shop for unique pieces for you home & a fun way for us to see the items decorated in your homes! You’ll have to tag us @fernwayhome so we can see how you used your Friday find!
Yesterday was actually our first “Found Friday”, and it was so much fun. We already can’t wait for next week’s! You’ll have to tune in!
This week was also a super great thrifting week for the house! I picked up a few more things at some yard sales last Saturday and on some Goodwill trips with my mom and sisters. Since Anna Belle just moved to Lipscomb (*insert teary eyes*), we’ve made it a weekly tradition to visit her and shop at the Berry Hill Goodwill + eat dinner at Baja Burrito! It’s a quality trip!
