Found Friday Week Two

shelf of antiques

It’s time for Week TWO of Found Friday!

I’ve had the best time gathering thrifted collections for these posts!

(You can see last week’s collection here. There are two things left!)

Apparently Labor Day weekend is a big weekend for yard sales, so if you’ve never been & have been thinking about going, now is the time to do it! Get some friends together & hit some sales in the morning! You can read all of my yard sale tips here! You may leave with a car full of treasures, or you may leave empty-handed. That’s just the way it rolls, so don’t be discouraged if so! The hunt is always a good time.

Here’s what I’ve rounded up for the week. Everything is available on the Fernway Home Etsy shop! If you’re local to Murfreesboro, use coupon code LOCAL for porch pickup. If you’re not local, shipping is available. Hope you enjoy!

Found Friday Items of the Week

Set of 2 Brass Candlesticks// I think these are just asking to be set on a mantle.

Wood Bowl// I really can’t pass up a good wood bowl. I love this one. I think it would be just perfect set on a coffee table.

Set of 3 Antique Books// One of them has some drawings on the cover, but I always use antique books for stacking anyways! I love the colors of these book covers.

Blue Glass Vase// I adore blue glass. It’s one of my many thrifted item obsessions.

Brass Vase with Feather Imprint & Hammered Brass Vase// You just really can’t go wrong with brass. It goes with anything!

House Update

Thought I’d give a quick house update. It feels like the ball is finally rolling again!

Yesterday, we went to the paint store and picked out a couple paint colors for the exterior, so we were finally able to put up a couple swatches on the house. After driving around town and looking at lots of pictures, we decided to get samples of four colors. Just enough to decide from. Who knew there are over a hundred versions of white?!

Tonight, Elijah’s dad brought over an excavator and ripped the sidewalk up with him. Since they have the excavator for the weekend, they’re going to knock over our ghetto shed in the backyard, clear out the base for our pea gravel driveway, and remove the porch steps! I can’t wait.

While Elijah was riding around in the excavator, I just sat on the tree swing and enjoyed watching. It was the most beautiful night. The shade of our trees keeps the yard feeling cool, and the light just looks so beautiful in the late afternoon. It looked liked & smelled like fall…is that even a thing?!

We all left the house about an hour ago to grab dinner before we head to a baseball game. It’s nights like these where all feels right. In the morning, I’m waking up bright and early for Elijah to pick me up and take us on a dove hunt. Good times. Hope everyone enjoys their Labor Day weekend!
